THAI EXPRESS (Downtown)

So it's 2 in the morning, you're at Havana Martini Club. The lights come on queing everyone to leave. You down your last martini. Your feeling good, maybe a little dizzy from all the dancing and alcohol. But one thing is for sure...YOU'RE HUNGRY! I mean c'mon who doesn't want to head straight to a waffle house or to a White Castle right after you leave the bar? Well I discovered something WAY better. Something that doesn't leave you feeling like crap the next morning like White Castle would. This my friend is a dream come true if your in this situation (not that I get drunk and hungry or anything... LOL). It's called Shanghai Mama's and it's located on 6th street. The owners there were very smart when they decided to stay open till 3am on Fridays and Saturdays because the bar crowds flock to them. Sometimes lines are so long your waiting outside. I went there and ordered a great dish called Pad Thai Chicken. It was soo good that I went back two days later and got the same thing. The price range isn't bad either, I'd say $8-$12, but the dish I had easily served two people and it was around $8. So yeah don't worry about breaking the bank after you spent all your money at the bar. I rate this restaurant 5 Stars for sure!!!

Cincinnati's Chili Rivals (Cincinnati)

You know what I'm talking about. Skyline Chili Vs. Gold Star Chili. I'm not going to beat around the bush people. How can you choose Gold Star over Skyline???!! Haha. Okay that's a little biased I agree, but that's my preference and I'm sticking to it!! Lets break it down with some facts:

Skyline Chili:
  • Founded in 1949.
  • Over a hundred locations in four states including; Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, and Florida (for when go on vacation).
  • Official chili of the Cincinnati Reds.

Gold Star Chili:
  • Founded in 1965.
  • Over a hundred locations in three states including; Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana.
  • Official chili of the Cincinnati Bengals.
Both are pretty well established chili companies but I'll be honest, according to online reviews, a lot of people DO prefer Skyline Chili over Gold Star Chili. Here's what I want to know...what is your opinon? Write your choice in the comment box and lets end this rival madness!!!

NEED A WEBSITE??? (Cincinnati)

Vezign puts the "V" in DESIGN and it's simple as that. Whether your a small business just starting out, or a business that's established and wanting to enter the World Wide Web, this is the company to go to. They do it all, and the best part about it is, you're not left with an empty wallet. They promise to beat competitors by at least 20% which personally caught my eye. Does this mean the quality of your site will be less? Take a look at some of these websites they have built for clients and you decide for yourself:

If your in the market trying to find a webmaster, I highly recommend Vezign. They do great work, charge less, all in a timely manner!

Check out www.vezign.com for more information!

PuppyWood Pet Resort (Montgomery)

Out of the 68 million owned dogs in the US and the 40 million homes that they live in, where do all these dogs go to get pampered? Okay so Cincinnati doesn't have that many dogs but consider these dogs lucky when it comes to getting pampered at this amazing doggy daycare!!! I went and checked out PuppyWood in Montgomery and I had such a great time just being there! I swear these dogs were smiling. Ha Unfortunately they wouldn't let me check in or be groomed but thats okay. No grudges. Oh and guess what?? They have webcams! Yeah thats right, when your sitting in your beach house in Florida sippin' on your margarita and eatin' your shrimp cocktail or whatever you do, you can see your little furry pet as if he/she was sitting right next to you. How comforting is that?? So don't let your dog keep you from taking a vacation, because guess what...maybe they need a vacation from you, and PuppyWood is where they want to go!

FB LOUNGE (Downtown)

Facebook Lounge? Ha Not even close! Does Facebook have great live music? No. Does Facebook have comfortable couches to lounge on while socializing? It wishes! But FB Lounge does! So you need to sign out of your Facebook accounts and head over to sixth street asap! I don't know what it is about Wednesdays and me, but I particularly love going on a Wednesday because there is nice live local bands that play "easily listening" type music where you can sit back and still have a conversation without losing your voice so the other person can hear you. In other words it's mellow. Although not so flashy on the outside and small on the inside, the inside does however surprise you with great interior decoration. I definitely recommend a first date here. It's very classy and a place you both can enjoy. I know I did!!!

Oh yeah and if you do hear a thumping sound coming from underneath you. That's simply because there is a dance club in the basement. Now c'mon does Facebook offer that???

Havana Martini Club!!!! (Downtown)

Yes people there is a touch of Latin America in our Great City of Cincinnati! Havana Martini Club which is located on 5th and Vine st. This is a place where you can go and either do one or two things; dance, or lounge. It's nothing but Class! Class! Class! The crowd is between the ages of 21 and 65. One night in particular that I really enjoy is Wednesday which is home to 'Havana Nights'. What does that mean? Salsa dancing of course hosted by Midwest Latino which you can check out up-to-date photos on Facebook here:

Talk about burning some calories though, and the best part about it is you don't realize it until the next day when you wake up and your legs are sore because your having so much fun! I do recommend bringing a dance partner even though everyone dances with everyone. I noticed when I was there, people are there to dance, not to find love, so girls don't fear of getting hit on by creepy guys! Ha! I also recommend showing up at 8pm for a FREE HOUR LONG salsa lesson given by a gentlemen Michael Beck (President of Midwest Latino). After you've learned the basics and ready to dance everything gets kicked off at 9pm! Be there!!!!

Oh yeah...and did I mention TRY THE MARTINIS!!
